Winter

Winter. More than snow.

Kelowna has world-class ski hills and awe-inspiring back country to make your winter holidays spectacular. But don't pack parkas. In Kelowna even the winters are mild and that makes it the ideal season for visiting. Here are some ideas of 'What to Do in Kelowna' while you visit:

  • Tour our five Kelowna Wine Trails and explore Kelowna's wineries.
  • Dine at some of our local restaurants and taste all that Kelowna restaurants have to offer.
  • Explore Kelowna's downtown Cultural District and enrich yourselves in Kelowna's heritage.
  • Retail therapy. Kelowna has an abundance of shopping centres ranging from small boutique stores to large retail chains so you can shop 'til you drop!
  • Sing karaoke, listen to a live band or take in a show - Kelowna has great events, even in the winter.
  • Take in a Kelowna Rockets hockey game - did you know we won the Memorial Cup in 2004?
  • Grab your skates and lace up at our outdoor skating rink located in Stuart Park, downtown Kelowna.
  • Build a snowman or make a snow angel at one of Kelowna's parks.
  • Play in the powder: head up to one of Kelowna's ski resorts and enjoy some of the world famous Okanagan Champagne Powder.
