Preparations for the 2012 Tourism Kelowna Official Visitors' Guide are well underway. Over the past several weeks, we have emailed stakeholders proofs of their listings and/or advertisements. Keep an eye out for yours if you haven't seen it already.

Blog - Shauna MerrittTourism Kelowna will again produce 185,000 copies of the guide and distribute them throughout the Pacific Northwest, BC and Alberta. The distribution channels include strategic Visitor Centres, gateway airports and border crossings in BC, Alberta and Washington and select BC ferries, BCAA offices and travel outlets. The book is also a key promotional tool at trade shows, conferences and events. The guide is stocked locally throughout Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley and can be found in the lobbies and public areas of many hotels, resorts, motels, B&Bs, campgrounds, attractions, restaurants and retail stores. The guide is sent in the mail via web and telephone inquiries and given out in-person at the Kelowna Visitors' Centre and the Kelowna International Airport Kiosk. Tourism Kelowna's friendly staff and volunteers find the guide a important tool when helping visitors to reference businesses and attractions in the area. Every year around Mother's Day, Tourism Kelowna schedules a local household drop through the Capital News. Some of our attractions' best advocates are residents, so it is critical to keep our local ambassadors informed. And, it gives us all ideas for fun things to do with the Mom's that weekend!

The complete Visitors' Guide is accessible online as well.  Click here to check out the 2011 guide.
